After meeting at 2:45 and finally getting to the Columbus airport - after a potential lost passport - and made it to Atlanta! Then, after missing the runway and having to circle back, we survived! And landed! And - fear not - Julia's okay, too!!
After arrival, we went to the Belize zoo where we saw a unique compilation of animals including a toucan, the national animal of Belize, and deer (apparently they're zoo animals here). Even with the rain, we enjoyed the beautiful area and dinner at the zoo.
Then the real adventure began - getting to the campground! The journey was rough, and we all doubted our ability to get up that last hill, but we made it - despite the mud hole in made in front of our campsite! We got all settled in and now the group is unwinding, getting ready for bed, doing devotional am laughing, and playing games in the dorm.
As for tomorrow, we may have the opportunity to meet our cooperating teachers and maybe make up a little bit of that seminar we missed on Monday and Tuesday before we go into the classrooms on Friday!
Here's to the start of our new adventures! Please continue praying for us!
